About the Founder

Horton is my stage name. It is also my middle name. When I am on vacation or sick, someone else will assume the Horton name. That's the fantastic thing about a stage name – it doesn't have to die or sleep or be attached to a body.

I am a professional graphic designer who sometimes prefers that other people do the designing. I like to create a great atmosphere for others to make their art.

I like process, inspiration and exploration. I like staying useful. I don't really love my TV – it rarely asks for help. It only wants my money.

I usually hang out with my wife and two cats. I am most appreciated from a distance where my daily insolence can mellow with memory.

I love books. I want to design books – inside and out. I spend extra time on the Distributed Publishers website doing anything I can to help. You should too! This is the only marketing pitch on the whole site, so soak it in.
